Company History

Crossing Automation, Inc., is a privately held company founded in 2003 and funded by Tallwood Ventures and Intel Capital, raising $15 million in its Series A round in 2005-2007 and $6.5 million in a B round in 2009. Crossing Automation designed and built an innovative and proprietary approach to automated vacuum wafer handling systems known as ExpressConnect, which it brought to market in early 2009. In August 2009, Crossing Automation acquired the atmospheric IP and related assets of the former Asyst Technologies, Inc., making it a complete supplier of atmospheric and vacuum wafer-level automation to the semiconductor and related manufacturing industries.
